The Haunted Cruise-In Halloween Edition starts at 6 tonight. It is the start of a week when Cumming City Center's calendar changes. Classic cars will line up to hand out candy from 6 to 8 p.m., costumes are encouraged, and admission and parking are free. Over the next eight days, most of the weekday series that have filled the lawn since spring reach their last listed dates. After Oct. 31, almost everything on the City Center calendar moves to Saturdays, ending with a Nov. 21 that has three events in one day.
The Last Weeknights on the Lawn
Most weekday regulars don't need a reminder that the season is ending. What helps is knowing the exact last date for each series, because they don't all stop in the same week.
| Series | Day and time | Location | Last listed date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday Mood: Yoga on the Green | Mondays, 6 to 7 p.m. | Lou Sobh Amphitheater | Oct. 26 |
| Zumba Sunset Sweat with Allyson | Tuesday, 7 to 8 p.m. | Lou Sobh Amphitheater green | Oct. 27 |
| Fall Cornhole League | Thursdays, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. | Lou Sobh Amphitheater | Oct. 29 |
| Friday Mood: Jazzercise Move & Groove on the Lawn | Fridays, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. | The lawn | Oct. 30 |
| Brewer's Alley Fall Social Cornhole League | Wednesdays, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. | Brewer's Alley | Nov. 11 |
The Wednesday league at Brewer's Alley runs past the others. It is listed on Oct. 28 and then on Nov. 4 and Nov. 11. That makes it the only recurring weeknight event at City Center through the first half of November. Neither the yoga series nor the Jazzercise series has a November date.
Halloween Week Still Uses Every Day of the Week
The week the lawn series end is also one of the fullest of the fall. The amphitheater has concerts on two Fridays and on Halloween night itself.
- Friday, Oct. 23: Murder of Crowes, a tribute to the Black Crowes, plays Lou Sobh Amphitheater from 7 to 9 p.m. Jazzercise has its second-to-last session that morning.
- Saturday, Oct. 24: The Cumming Farmers Market runs from 8 to 11 a.m. The Forsyth County Out of the Darkness Walk follows from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 4th Annual Howl-oween runs from 4 to 8 p.m. with pet-friendly trick-or-treating, adoptable pets, vendors, spooky music and a storefront-decorating contest. Movies Alfresco then shows an Addams Family film at the amphitheater from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and snacks and drinks are for sale.
- Friday, Oct. 30: Clapton Comes Alive plays Lou Sobh Amphitheater from 7 to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 31: The farmers market opens at 8 a.m. as usual. TORQ: FALL 2026 follows from noon to 3 p.m., and Nightshades plays the amphitheater from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Oct. 24 has the most going on. If you have a dog and young kids, you could spend the whole afternoon and evening there, with Howl-oween ending right as the movie begins. Oct. 25 has nothing on the calendar.
November Moves Onto Saturdays
After Halloween weekend, the calendar gets thinner. City Center's November listings put most events on Saturdays, and a few dates stand apart.
- Saturday, Nov. 7. The farmers market runs from 8 to 11 a.m. From 4 to 7 p.m., the 2nd Annual Cumming Bourbon & Blues Festival brings bourbon, wine and beer tastings, blues music and a market. Tasting and ticket purchases are limited to guests 21 and older. The Page Brothers Band plays Lou Sobh Amphitheater from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., so you can go from the festival straight to the concert.
- Saturday, Nov. 14. The Hometown Heroes 5K and Fun Run runs from 8 a.m. to noon to benefit B.A.D.G.E. It overlaps the 8 to 11 a.m. farmers market, so parking will be tighter than on a typical market morning.
- Saturday, Nov. 21. The market, the holiday market and the tree lighting all fall on this day. Details are below.
The exceptions are spread across other days of the week. Jackson Chase plays the amphitheater on Friday, Nov. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. Glitter Star Fest is on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. The Annual Veterans Day Ceremony is on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Slide into Sundays with Jump N Jacks afternoons, noon to 5 p.m., are listed on Nov. 1 and Nov. 15 on the City Center calendar. The City of Cumming calendar also lists Nov. 8, so check before you plan a Sunday around it.
One November event takes place outside City Center. The Cumming Steam, Antique Tractor & Gas Engine Exposition runs Nov. 13 and 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds. On Saturday the 14th you could do the 5K or the market in the morning and then go to the fairgrounds.
The Farmers Market Is the One Weekly Event That Keeps Going
All five lawn series end by mid-November. The Cumming Farmers Market keeps running. It is listed on Saturdays through Dec. 19, 2026, four weeks after the tree lighting. The series skips Nov. 28, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and resumes Dec. 5. The 5K starts at the same hour as the market. Bourbon & Blues starts in the late afternoon, hours after the market closes at 11. The holiday market opens around 10 a.m., about an hour before the farmers market packs up.
Apart from the Thanksgiving weekend gap, the market is the one fixed Saturday time at City Center from now until mid-December. If you come every week, Nov. 14 and Nov. 21 are the two Saturdays when another event will fill the parking first.
Nov. 21 Puts Three Events Into One Day
The Saturday before Thanksgiving has three events that overlap or follow closely:
- 8 to 11 a.m.: Cumming Farmers Market.
- From 10 a.m.: The Winter/Holiday Market at 423 Canton Road, with more than 100 vendors, Santa, live music and activities for kids. The City Center event description lists 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The City of Cumming lists 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., so plan your late-afternoon shopping for the earlier closing time.
- 6 to 7 p.m.: The City Center Christmas Tree Lighting at the same address.
The tree lighting is in its own page's 2026 listing for Saturday, Nov. 21. Older pages still online show other dates. If you saved a link from a past year, use the current city listing instead.
The holiday market and the tree lighting are close together. If the market runs until 5 or 6, there is little or no time between the last vendor packing up and the lighting. Families who want to see both could plan an early dinner nearby instead of driving home and coming back.
A Sports Bar on Vision Drive Fits the Saturday Schedule
The newest restaurant at City Center fits a calendar built around Saturdays. Forsyth County News reported that Tavern Off the Green held a soft opening on Sept. 11. North Atlanta Star reported that the restaurant at 400 Vision Drive was a full-service sports bar with more than 40 televisions and a large central screen. The same report described a Louisiana-influenced menu with hot crawfish fondue, Creole-style gumbo, po'boys and crawfish étouffée pot pie. Wings start at $10 for six, and a 12-ounce ribeye is $31. City Center held a watch party for Georgia vs. Auburn on Oct. 17, but no football watch party appears on the November calendar. That makes Tavern Off the Green the place to watch a fall Saturday game at City Center. Hours for a newly opened restaurant can change in its first months, so check with Tavern Off the Green before you build an evening around it.
A few doors down, Simple Man Distillery is preparing a distillery, tasting room and cocktail bar at 430 Vision Drive. North Atlanta Star's September report said the business was hiring but had not announced an opening date. If it opens before Nov. 21, Vision Drive would have one more place to stop between the holiday market and the tree lighting.
I follow City Center's calendar the same way I follow Cumming's real estate market: what matters is which days will be busy and which will be quiet. If you're thinking about what this side of Forsyth County looks like for your own plans, Mark Shoda is glad to walk through it with you. Let's Connect.
